The syringa is a flower with petite, tubular blooms and a woody stem. A prelude to spring, syringas – with their fresh, sweet-smelling scent and soft pastel-hued colours (most commonly lilac) – are the Earth’s way of letting you know that winter has passed and the hope of springtime warmth and love is here. A wonderfully befitting bloom to usher in the Lunar New Year.
The syringa flower has a woody stem which means this floral type will require more hydration than other floral varieties. Always ensure the vase is filled with fresh water daily and that the stems are trimmed slightly everyday. Place it away from direct sunlight, in a cool environment and they will keep fresh for up till 7 days.
This will arrive wrapped in brown paper with hydrated cotton wool. This ensures sufficient hydration for the stalks so that they remain fresh between the time it is put together and when the recipient receives it.
Here are the number of stalks you will find in each size:
Small – 3 stalks
Standard — 5 stalks
Large — 9 stalks
The cordyline is a tall-stemmed variety, ideal for dining tables, entrance tables, console tables and bar top centrepieces.
