About

The heliconia goes by a few names: from dragon claw, to wild plantain to the false bird-of-paradise, this brightly-coloured flower blooms in the form of bracts (flowering heads). The bracts are grown in a pendulous manner and can be found long and drooping, or grown upright. Commonly used as landscape flowers, they have grown in popularity in recent years because of a growing trend in using unusual flowers

Care Information

The heliconia is a hard flower which can last for up to 2 weeks. Just ensure that they have fresh water daily and a clean snip of its stems to enable good absorption of water.

Packaging Information

Single variety flowers come wrapped in brown paper with a water bag. This ensures sufficient hydration for the flowers so that they remain fresh between the time it is put together and when the recipient receives it.

Here are the number of stalks you will find in each size:
Standard — 8 stalks
Large — 15 stalks

The heliconia is a tall-stemmed variety, ideal for entrance tables, console tables and bar top centrepieces.

Delivery Information

Delivery/ Collection

These flowers are available for free next-day delivery. Place your order by 12pm the day before to have your bouquet ready for collection or delivery the next day.

A same-day delivery service is also available, if you require flowers at short notice. All same-day delivery orders will be dispatched from our studio by 4pm for arrival by 7pm; delivery charges are at $15 per delivery location. Same-day delivery orders must be placed by 12noon on the day of delivery.
